Before the trip, we were preparing essential materials such as pens, pencils, markers, colour pencils and our travel log/journal that had to be brought to Perth for writing down daily entries. We were also told to decorate two square-shaped tiles to be given to the students in Perth. Lastly, we were given some worksheets to complete so that we know a little bit of the background of the places that we would be going to. Although we were frustrated by the work that had to be done, our minds were filled with excitement and joy because we knew that we would be having lots of fun in Perth and we could not wait to go there and witness the beautiful city. Most of us were groaning, "Grhh, go overseas also have work to do!".

At the departure airport, we were exchanging affectionate hugs and kisses with our family and relatives. After going through the customs, we took some photos with our friends. It was sad that we had to leave them but we told ourselves that we would enjoy to the fullest at Perth and come back very soon to meet them again. We waved goodbye to our families and friends before setting off for the departure hall.
